Whether you are looking for beaches or mountains, culture or food, beauty or adventure: this retreat has it all. This is not your regular yoga retreat. There is so much to explore in Morocco we could not do the country (or you!) any justice by picking a retreat centre for the duration.
We have decided yoga will be better while on a desert overnight safari, while overlooking an 11th century kasbah, while in the midst of the Ameln valley, while in a desert oasis & while overlooking the sea. We also thought we should throw in some surfing & a home cooked meal.

Welcome to Marrakesh, Morocco. Marrakesh is a feast for the senses. Be enticed by the alluring scents and brilliant colors of the spice markets, the sounds of the musicians, the rich folds of carpets, delectable foods, acrobats and perfumed gardens. Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting followed by a home cooked dinner with a local family where you will try the Moroccan hospitality. An evening yoga session may be planned, flight arrival dependent.
This morning journey along mountain roads and over Morocco's highest pass, Tizi n'Tichka (2,260 metres), to Ait Benhaddou on the edges of the Sahara (approximately 6 hours). Perched on a hilltop and almost unchanged since the 11th century, Ait Benhaddou is one of Morocco's most iconic site. It was once an important stop for caravans passing through as they carried salt across the Sahara, returning with gold, ivory and slaves. Today its grand kasbah has been listed as a World Heritage site, with its fortified village being a fine example of clay architecture. If you think you recognise the place, you probably do, as the town has a long list of film and TV credits, including Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones and Gladiator. Enjoy a walk through the winding streets of old town, making your way to the top of the hill, from where you can enjoy the views across the surrounding plains. In the evening, how about some yoga in a terrace overlooking the kasbah.
This morning you'll journey south towards the Sahara, your first stop will be at Taznakhte, a beautiful town well known for its carpets, this town has some of the most beautiful carpets in Morocco. Continue to foum Zguid, where you’ll jump into 4WD vehicles. The rough track runs parallel to the Algerian border, across the stony Hamada desert, whose only populace is small scatterings of nomadic people and their camels. The group will reach the massive Erg Chigaga dunes in the late afternoon. An erg is a vast sea of shifting wind-swept sand that's formed into picturesque, undulating crests and valleys. The Erg Chigaga is one of the world's iconic landscapes, with towering dunes up to 150 metres in height. Enjoy a camel ride to explore the sunset
After your nomadic breakfast, walk in the desert and enjoy a session of Yoga in the heart of the tranquil sahara and in its gold dunes.
Leave the desert today and drive to Tafraoute, a secluded shred of paradise far from the hustle and bustle of metropolitan life. Ancient traditions still run strong here in the Berber heartland. People have a genuine friendliness and honesty unlike anywhere else on earth. The cooking, which cleverly mixes spices, prunes and meats, is indescribably delicious.
Today, get an insight into the unique charms of Tafraout with a guided orientation tour and walk through the city. You’ll also get to witness the beauty of the surrounding landscape on a walk through a desert oasis for a yoga session.
This morning, you’ll travel onwards to a surf resort near to the small fishing village of Taghazout. Over recent years, the town has gained a reputation as a prime surfing location for locals and tourists alike – the waters stay warm throughout the year and the surf is excellent for starters and adept wave riders alike. After your journey from Tafraoute, you will have 1-hour yoga class session.
If you were thinking about surfing yesterday but didn’t have the know-how to ride a board, worry not – you’ve got a 2-hour surfing class to build your skills up. It’s okay if you’re a beginner, the intensity of the course will be adjusted to the abilities of the group, so everyone gets a chance to enjoy themselves. The surf academy provides wetsuits and all the equipment you will need you’re your lesson. You will only need your swimmers. Come the afternoon, meet for a yoga session.
Today, you will be transferred to Marrakesh where you will spend the rest of the day at leisure. A yoga session will be in order after having some rest from the journey.
There are no activities planned for the final day and you are able to depart the accommodation at any time. An early morning yoga session may be added, flight departures dependent.

She has nearly 10,000 hours experience, has done countless workshops & courses, and ambitiously owned a yoga studio for 9 of these teaching years. She is an incredible hands on instructor with a plethora of knowledge. Here is a little bit more about her:
